Safety Officer

• Apartment project in the eastern suburbs
• Full time position with a long standing business
• Respected Tier 3 Builder- Projects from $20m- $50m

The company is a large commercial builder that has been in operation for 20+ years and has a number of different divisions. They have picked up a sizable apartment project in the eastern suburbs which has just started, due to this, they require an experienced Safety Officer to manage all that is OHS related on site.

Your role
As a Safety Officer you will:

• Run safety inductions and toolbox talks
• Induct personnel and plant
• Review and suggest recommendations relating to SWMS
• Maintain safety documentation and records
• Identify and manage hazards
• Ensure compliance with WHS/OHS legislation and company safety policies
• This is a role where they be a small portion (say 10%) where you may need to assist in labouring or ticketed work

About you
To be successful you will:

• Have a cert 3 in OHS (obviously a white card too)
• Have experience working as a Safety Officer within the construction sector
• Ideally be proficient with Hammertech (not essential but preferred)
• Be fit and capable
• Be able to work within a team environment
