Connectus Recruitment is seeking General and Skilled Labourers to join our growing workforce for construction, demolition and fitout projects across Metropolitan Melbourne.
With plenty of work available across commercial construction, residential, fitout and demolition projects, we have multiple opportunities for reliable workers seeking consistent short and long term work across Melbourne.

• Skilled Labourers – $40 p/h + super + travel + LeavePlus

The Role Depending on your experience and the project, your duties may include:

• General site labouring, cleaning and site preparation
• Moving and handling construction materials
• Unloading and assisting with site deliveries
• Assisting trades and site supervisors
• Using hand and power tools
• Demolition and strip out work
• Manual excavation and digging
• Basic concreting and formwork assistance
• Maintaining a safe and tidy worksite

Experienced and skilled labourers may also undertake more advanced tasks depending on their skills, tickets and previous site experience.
What we’re looking for to be considered, you will need:

• A valid White Card
• Minimum 6 months construction or onsite labouring experience
• Experience using basic hand and power tools
• Good physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual work
• A strong work ethic and reliable attitude
• Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
• A strong commitment to workplace safety
• Full PPE including steel cap boots, hi vis clothing, work pants/ shorts and hard hat and eye protection.

The following are advantageous but not essential:

• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) – regular work available on school and education projects
• Construction tickets such as EWP, Working at Heights, Confined Space, Traffic Control or Spotter
• Current drivers licence and reliable transport
• Previous commercial, fitout or demolition experience
