Connectus Recruitment is looking for reliable, energetic Events Labourers to join our growing events crew.
You could be helping transform an empty venue one day, setting up for a major event the next, or packing everything down once the crowds have gone home.

Event work doesn’t always happen during standard business hours, no two shifts are exactly the same so flexibility is important. Shifts can include days, evenings, weekends, overnight work and early morning starts, depending on the event and venue.

What you’ll be doing:

• Laying and removing turf protection flooring at event venues
• Installing and dismantling crowd control and event barriers
• Assisting with marquee setups and pack-downs
• Setting up and dismantling grandstand seating
• Moving event equipment, furniture and materials
• General event site setup and pack-down
• Loading and unloading trucks and equipment
• Assisting supervisors and event crews as required
• Keeping work areas safe, clean and organised

What we’re looking for:

• We’re looking for people who are ready to get stuck in and be part of a great crew.
• Previous event setup, labouring or similar hands-on experience
• A strong work ethic and reliable attitude
• Good communication skills
• The ability to follow instructions and work safely
• The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• A reasonable level of physical fitness
• The ability to lift up to 20kg and be on your feet for extended periods
• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, overnight shifts and early mornings

Experience with event infrastructure, flooring, barriers, marquees or grandstands will be highly regarded.
